1/4″ Micro-fittings are used to make connections between 1/4″ tubing or to connect 1/4″ tubing or 1/4” dripperline to 1/2″ or 3/4″ poly supply tubing. Made with an engineering grade resin, these fittings include a sharp edge (known as a barb) that bites into the inside of the tubing for a secure and watertight fit. No glue or adhesive is required.
Also included in this category are two-sided goof plugs, which can be used to plug the end of 1/4″ tubing or to plug a hole in the supply tubing, plus a bug plug which is inserted at the end of the 1/4″ tubing to prevent bugs from entering the tubing.
1/4″ micro-fittings come in a variety of configurations including long connectors, short connectors, tees, elbows, crosses, and plugs. These fittings can be used with both poly and vinyl 1/4″ tubing. When attaching a 1/4″ micro-fitting to solid 1/2” or 3/4” poly tubing, use a hole punch to pre-punch a clean hole into the tubing. When removing a 1/4″ micro-fitting from supply tubing, use a goof plug.
Lastly, a threaded goof plug is also offered that is used to plug rigid risers when not in use.
